Each blanket is machine washable with a little care. Wash it separately, or with similar soft fabrics, on a gentle cold-water cycle using a mild, dye-free liquid detergent. Never use bleach, and skip fabric softener — softener coats the minky fibers and dulls the softness that makes them special. Air dry when you can; if you use a dryer, tumble on the lowest heat or air-fluff setting only, never medium or high. Don't iron or dry clean, since high heat can permanently flatten the plush pile. Two soft layers sewn back to back: combinations of cotton flannel, cuddle minky, sherpa, fleece, canvas, linen, and other quality fabrics, most finished with a smooth satin edge. Each one is double-sided and fully reversible.

Every ready-made blanket is one of a kind, so exact measurements vary slightly from one to the next — listed on the product. As a general guide: Play Mat / Changing Pad blankets run about 18″ × 28″, Travel blankets about 22″ × 30″, Cuddle blankets about 30″ × 44″, and Lap/Throw blankets about 45″ × 60″. Yes — every blanket is sewn one at a time by Marmee herself, no factory line. Marmee may make similar designs again down the road, but since each one is cut and sewn by hand, sizes can vary slightly from one to the next.
